Respect for Military WomenCHISINAU, March 7, 2012 — Nearly 30 military women of the National Army were awarded “For Excellent Service” and “For Service to the Fatherland” Medals and the Gratitude Insignia and other 200 women received diplomas on the International Women’s Day.
During the event, Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta congratulated all the women and young ladies working in the National Army on the International Women’s Day and thanked them for their high quality professional activity. “National Army women’s special ability is to combine successfully the job of Homeland defender with the role of mother and wife. You have all our respect and support for the wisdom and the strength of mind you prove in your military experience, along with men”. There are nearly 450 military women and 900 civilian women working in the National Army today. The main areas National Army women deal with are: medicine, communications, law, logistics, accountancy, topography, public relations and others. |
