Car Racing Show in Colonita

CHISINAU, May 28, 2012 — The Central Sports Club of the Army (CSCA) and the Federation of Automobilism organized Sunday, May 27, the first phase of the Republic of Moldova Autocross Championship on Colonita race track.

The sports competition brought together over 30 professional drivers, outstanding sportsmen from Ukraine and Republic of Moldova. The event marked the 20th anniversary since the establishment of CSCA.

Representatives of the National Olympic Committee, Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as officials from the Ministry of Defense attended the official opening ceremony of the championship.

According to the head of CSCA, Victor Belevici, the CSCA team won the third prize of seven participating teams.

The source specified that, during the car race, the CSCA sportsman Gherman Buzurin was the 2nd to reach the finish line at the 1600 cm³ category and the sportsman Iurie Ceinac was the third at Buggy category. “The winners of the championship were awarded cups and medals, money prizes and fuel tickets”, Belevici said.

The head of CSCA also appreciated the Ministry’s of Defense contribution to the organization of the event and the development of sports domain.

The next phase of the Republic of Moldova Autocross Championship will be held June 10, in Glodeni.
