CSCA Sportsmen Win Over 20 Medals at National Shooting Championship


Chisinau, October 3, 2012 — The team of the Central Sports Club of the Army (CSCA) won 12 golden medals at the National Shooting Championship held September 26-30 in Chisinau.

Nicolae Capatina, Interim Chief of CSCA, stated the CSCA sportsmen won 12 of 14 golden medals awarded within the event, five silver and five bronze medals.

The best results at the cadets category were recorded by Doina Adam and Stanislav Dodon during the pistol and weapons test, both of them competing for the 1st qualification category.

According to the source, one more CSCA member, Alexandra Pascal, was a leader at weapons category for seniors, competing for the title of Master of Sports.

As for the junior category, the winners were Ecaterina Raileanu, weapon, and Iurie Stamatin, pistol.

The National Shooting Championship organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Moldova, is a test for the qualification and participation of our team at the European Shooting Championship held in March 2013 in Denmark.

The National Shooting Championship brought together 59 representatives of the sports schools and clubs from Balti, Tiraspol and Chisinau. The Central Sports Club of the Army was represented at the event by 26 sportsmen.
