Multinational exercise “Mission Readiness Exercise” started



Hohenfels, Gemany, December, 03rd, 2012 — The opening ceremony of multinational exercise “Mission Readiness Exercise” was held today at the training polygon in Hohenfels, Germany.

The head of the Republic of Moldova contingent, lieutenant colonel Sergiu Şaramet stated that Moldovan military integrated easily in the operational environment and intend to carry out complex training activities aimed at increasing the cooperation between participating nations.

Lieutenant colonel Şaramet said that during the exercise, Moldovan military will train together with the Romanian, Czech, Hungarian, American and Georgian to conduct activities in various areas and execute shooting. “National Army contingent are doing very well. Initially, they were introduced to the techniques and operating procedures of military vehicles that are different from those from Moldova and held a series of theoretical meetings to get initiated in exercise structure.Next, participants in the exercise will train together to get involved through terrestrial way in a theater of operations and will practice joined peacekeeping operations in a hostile security environment, ” the head of National Army contingent specified. The quoted source said that the exercise is structured in several modules intended to train the military for theaters of operations, lending first aid training on the battlefield and other specific actions for peacekeeping operations.

“Mission Readeness Exercise” is an exercise led by United States Army in Europe and aims to increase the level of cooperation, by training military to participate in peacekeeping operations.
