English and German courses graduates received their diplomas



Chisinau, December 27th, 2012 — English and German courses graduates received diplomas today during a ceremony at Military Academy of the Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun”.

Diplomas were awarded by the Minister of Defence Vitalie Marinuţa, who congratulated those 49 graduates and urged them to use the knowledge gained in their service and missions that they carry out in the country and abroad. "National Army’s objective is to participate in peacekeeping missions under international mandate where operational language is English. That is why it is important that each military communicate without barriers with their colleagues from partner armies, "said the Minister Marinuţa.

Military that serve in the National Army on contract basis and also three military from the Department of Carabineer Corps attended these courses. They have completed courses that lasted for 19 weeks in the Linguistic Center of the Military Academy. Finally, the military had passed an exam to evaluate language skills, standardized according to NATO criteria.

The Linguistic Center of Military Academy of the Armed Forces was established on March 20th, 2007 and aims to implement the concept regarding language training in the National Army and language training process connection to international standards. So far the institution has trained 843 military from the National Army.
