Message of Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuţa on the occasion of winter holidays

Dear soldiers, civilian employees, civil servants, NCOs and officers, reserve and retired military personnel, dear family members,

We conclude a year where we worked together to fulfill the pledges made to the citizens of Moldova and to the partners. It was a tough year, but in the end I can say with all firmness that it was a year when the National Army has done its duty to the country and proved by facts that has strength and determination to meet the constitutional missions professionally.

It is not in vain, national surveys show that National Army remains in the top of state institutions which enjoys the greatest trust from society. In 2013 we will work to continue the transformation of the army into a modern military instrument, reliable and efficient. We will also take further steps to improve the quality of life for the military because the country’s defenders deserve a better life.

Dear comrades,

As the Minister of Defense, I am honored to be part of the same team with you, because you represent the elite nation and characters that Moldova needs. I want to thank all of you who put shoulder at the prestige of this institution, from private to general, from war vetran to military veteran retired or reserve.

The gifts we shared during the meetings these days with those who are sadder than we are, and also with your children are natural gestures stemming from our desire to be near our neighbor and bring a bit of joy in your souls, a glimmer of hope, gratitude and appreciation.

On the occasion of the winter holidays, Christmas and New Year, it is my great pleasure to wish from the heart, you and those who are dear to you, health, happiness, a better year and fulfillment of all your desires.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
