“One of our goals for the current year is to take part in peacekeeping and peace building missions abroad. This is an achievable goal, because we are ready to do that. We proved that last year, when National Army service members had been certified by international experts as being ready for missions”, Vitalie Marinuta said.

Defense Minister expressed his hope that, along with the conclusion by Prime Minister Vlad Filat and the EU Commissioner for External Relations, Catherine Ashton, of the Agreement on Republic of Moldova’s participation in EU crisis management missions, our country will insure the regional and international security.

In his turn, the Polish Ambassador thanked the Moldova Minister for the interest in the bilateral political military dialogue and pointed to a more fruitful future o the friendship and cooperation relationship between the two countries and militaries.

The Moldovan-Polish defense cooperation is based on the Agreement concluded by the Moldovan and Polish Ministries of Defense on October 27, 1998, in Warsaw.
