Army Running Championship Designates Winners
Chisinau, April 11, 2013 — The team of the Armed Forces Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” won the Army Running Championship Cup, held in Valea Morilor Park, Chisinau.
According to the Head of Physical Training and Sports, Training and Doctrine Division of Main Staff, LTC Vasile Olednic, the competition was attended by more than 60 soldiers from garrisons of Ungheni, Balti, Cahul and Chisinau. Divided into 14 teams, they competed in 1,000 m, 3,000 m, 5,000 and 10,000 m distance running.
The source mentioned that, according to the general score, the Championship Cup went to the Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun”. Soldiers from the Special Forces Battalion “Fulger” won the second place, followed by Brigade “Dacia”, Cahul.
