Moldovan and US Special Forces Exercise Is Over in Balti



CHISINAU, June 26, 2013 — Over 60 soldiers of the US and Moldovan Special Forces participated in the Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) 2013 ″ exercise, which ended today at the Training Center of Brigade" Moldova" from Balti.

According to Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie, Deputy Chief of National Army Main Staff, such exercises are useful for an efficient cooperation between the two militaries. “Definitely, such applications are useful for Moldovan military because it ensures an experience exchange with partners from other armies, as well as enhanced interoperability, particularly when it comes to participation in international missions,” Brigadier Gen. Cutie said.

The head of the military group of US Special Forces, Capt. Bryan Hulin, appreciated the professionalism and responsiveness of the Moldovan soldiers during the three weeks of joint training. “At the JCET, we had the opportunity to execute shootings, parachute jumps and other combat missions and I was impressed by the professionalism of our comrades from the Republic of Moldova. It was a pretty productive exercise, largely thanks to the constructive attitude and professionalism of the servicemembers of the two armies”, Hulin said.

The program of th exercise included training of tactical jumps, advanced firing, medical aid, EOD training, as well as the presentation of weaponry and optical systems.

The Moldovan-American exercise “Joint Combined Exchange Training” was held within June 10-27, at the Training Center of Brigade “Moldova” from Balti. This was the third exercise of this kind held on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, with the participation of Special Forces from Moldova and US armies.
