National Army Servicemembers Help Victims from Opaci (video)

> Chisinau, July 5, 2013 - In accordance with the decision of the Emergency Committee, convened by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, a group of National Army servicemembers went on July 5 afternoon, to Opaci, Causeni, a village affected by the latest floods, in order to help people in the affected area.

The servicemembers of Brigade "Moldova" from Balti and those of the Engineering Battalion “Codru” from Negresti, will start the establishment of two mechanized bridges TMM- 3M of the National Army, that will facilitate the passage and evacuation of the victims from the affected area. The bridges will be assembled instead of the local pond dam that was destroyed under the pressure of water in the evening of July 4.

Prime-Minister Iurie Leanca signed today, a directive on the deployment, if necessary, of the National Army servicemembers, to the damaged areas to help the victims.
