The National Army Commander congratulated the new lieutenants on the graduation and on being conferred the first officer rank. “We have closely followed your academic achievements during the years of study and we appreciate the good results you have obtained”.

We also hope you will enroll in the National Army soon. I assure you of my support and the support of commanders in your career“, Brigadier Gen. Stoian told the graduates.

Stoian expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of National Defense of Romania for the support provided to the Republic of Moldova in training our military in Romanian educational institutions, especially taking into account that all the expenses are covered by Bucharest.

The same day, the young lieutenants, who studied aviation, were assigned positions at Air Base “Decebal” and anti-aircraft missile regiment “Dimitrie Cantemir”. According to the Head of Human Resource Management Division of the Ministry of Defense, retired Colonel Vitalie Butnaru, the officers were distributed to military units according to their average academic mark.

The training of the Moldovan military in Romania is based on the Protocol of cooperation in the military education area, signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of National Defense of Romania, in 2000, in Brasov. Currently, 18 Moldovan students study at military educational institutions in Romania.
