New Military Awards on National Army Day

Chisinau, September 2, 2013 — Minister of Defense, Vitalie Marinuta, decorated a group of servicemembers and civilian employees during the National Army 22nd anniversary ceremony.

Over 50 officers and NCOs were awarded for excellence, contribution to raising unit personnel’s readiness and for professionalism.

For the first time, servicemembers were awarded the “Distinguished Service” Cross, 2^nd and 3^rd class, “Award for Excellence” Cross, 3^rd class, on behalf of the National Army, and Medal “For Strengthening of Brotherhood in Arms” awarded through Republic of Moldova President’s Decree as of August 2012.

Servicemembers were also awarded Medals “For Strengthening of Brotherhood in Arms”, “Service to Fatherland”, 1st class, “for Excellence” “Distinguished Service”, 1st and 2nd class, “For Excellence”, as well as the Insignia of Gratitude.
