Book Launch in Military Medicine

CHISINAU, September 3, 2013 — The album “Spitalul Clinic Militar Central” (Central Military Hospital) and other eight medical books were presented during the events dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of the National Army.

In his books, the author, surgeon Andrei Lesco, docent of Central Military Hospital, describes new concepts in medicine, based on technological progress, medical education and surgery training.

Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta appreciated surgeon Andrei Lesco’s researches and works. “We need and we have to cherish such doctors that devote their life to military medicine and give their soul for their patients’ sake. These new books show the high dedication of a surgeon to his job”, Vitalie Marinuta said.

Surgeon Andrei Lesco mentioned that his goal was to describe things in a simple way, in order for the reader to be able to compare methods and get additional support in solving some medical situations and cases. “All the explanations are accompanied by recommendations, so that my potential readers find appropriate solutions to the situations they face in their medical career”, the military doctor said.

Surgeon Andrei Lesco’s books, including “Ghid de prim ajutor medical” (First Aid Giudelines), “Cu bisturiul pe post de penita” (Scalpel as a pen), “Medicina militara” (Military Medicine), have been already donated to district hospitals and other health care institutions throughout the country.
