Two National Army Sportsmen’s Sled and Biathlon Performances at Winter Olympics are Over



Chisinau, February 10, 2013 — The member of the Central Sports Club of the Army, Bogdan Macovei, won the 36th place at sled competition of Sochi Winter Olympic Games. Another Army’s representative, WO Alexandra Camenscic won the 84th place at the final sprint biathlon competition.

At sled performance, Bogdan Macovei recorded a time of 3 minutes 36.366 seconds, being 9 seconds behind the German sportsman Felix Loch, that became the Olympic Champion at this type of sports.

WO Alexandra Camenscic completed the biathlon sprint test of 7,5 km with a time of 27 minutes and 37 seconds. The winner of the competition was Anastasia Kuzmina from Slovakia. She recorded a time of 6 minutes and 30 seconds. On February 15, Alexandra will compete at freestyle skiing competition.

Two other Moldovan sportsmen, WO Victor Pinzaru and Georg Linder, who are also members of CSCA, qualified for freestyle skiing and ski mountaineering competitions, that will take place on February 15 and 16.

Republic of Moldova is represented at Sochi Winter Olympics by 4 sportsmen. All of them are members of the Central Sports Club of the Army.
