Demining Missions in November
Chisinau, December 3, 2014 — The National Army EOD team disposed, in November, 128 explosive devices.
According to LTC Serghei Chilivnic, specialist, EOD Division of the National Army, on November 29, in Pirita, Dubasari district, the EOD engineers discovered and disposed a 152 mm artillery shell, dating back to Second World War.
The National Army EOD engineers were also called in to Ocnita, where they discovered ten artillery shells of 76 mm caliber in a household. The same month, seven artillery shells of 122 mm caliber and a fire bomb launcher of 82 mm caliber were identified during some agricultural works, in Valea Florii village, Hincesti district.
The quoted source specified that other types of ammunition were located and disposed in Balti city, as well as in Orhei, Stefan Voda, Dubasari, Donduseni and Anenii Noi districts.
This year, the National Army EOD engineers were called in 246 times throughout the country, where they destroyed 1,095 explosive devices.
