Training Involving Military Vehicles Conducted in ChisinauCHISINAU, February 9, 2015 — About 100 National Army service members participated in an exercise involving the infantry vehicles. According to Chief of Main Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Gorgan, the exercise is part of the National Army combat readiness plan for 2015. The scenario of the exercise included operational forces destroying terrorist elements which broke into a major importance facility. The source specified that the training aimed to assess the readiness of the operational units of the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion, Special Forces Battalion “Fulger”, and the Anti-Air Missile Regiment. Also, during the exercise, the service members drove military vehicles HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) and Studebaker and used light infantry weapons of the participating military units.
