Prince Radu of Romania Visits Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun”

CHISINAU, February 24, 2015 — Today, His Royal Highness Prince Radu of Romania paid an official visit to the Military Academy of the Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” together with His Highness Prince Nicolae.

In the Senate Hall, His Royal Highness met with Minister of Defense, Viorel Cibotaru, and Academy’s Commanding Officer Corps. Later, the distinguished guests familiarized with the institution infrastructure, departments, and the linguistic centre.

Prince Radu mentioned the link between the army and the Institution of the Crown, both having the role to defend the State.

His Royal Highness proposed to start cooperation with the Military Academy by holding some lectures on security and defense topics, both in Chisinau and in Bucharest. “I believe that a series of meetings with the students and soldiers would be a beautiful opportunity”, said Prince Radu of Romania.

Prince Radu is a retired colonel of the Romanian Army and holds a PhD in military science.
