Start for Army Spring Draft

CHISINAU, April 15, 2015 — About 1,500 young men will be enlisted in the Armed Forces within May-July. The decision was approved today during the Government’s meeting.

According to Chief of Personnel Division of the National Army Main Staff, Col. Sergiu Voinu, 1,100 young men will be drafted into the National Army, while 400 will join the Carabineer Troops.

“During the first stage that starts in May, 460 recruits will join the National Army units, while 540 recruits will be enlisted in July”, specified Col. Voinu.

The enrolment in the Armed Forced takes place four times a year. The mandatory military service in the National Army lasts 12 months.
