National Army Leadership Checks Peacekeepers’ Military VehiclesChisinau, April 28, 2015 — Chief of Main Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Gorgan, inspected the military vehicles of the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion. Commander of the 22nd peacekeeping Battalion, Maj. Ion Cozma, stated that while in Military Compound 142, the Chief of Main Staff checked the HMMWVs (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) and GAZ 66 vehicles. Also, gen. Gorgan tested the drivers’ and mechanics’ readiness. The inspection is part of the training plan of the National Army and aims at assessing the knowledge and practical skills of the personnel in driving and maintaining military vehicles. |
