National Army Servicemembers Trained in Weapons and Ammunition Automated Records System



CHISINAU, July 17, 2015 — A group of National Army servicemembers participated in a workshop regarding the automated records of conventional weapons and ammunition, held within July 13-17, at the Military Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun”.

According to LTC Andrei Camerzan, Head of Ammunition and Weapons Service of the Logistics Directorate, the event was organized by the National Army Main Staff, with the support of OSCE Secretariat and the EU. The workshop brought together 12 Moldovan officers responsible for National Army weapons and ammunition.

The source mentioned that the workshop was moderated by two OSCE experts and aimed to familiarize the National Army representatives with the technical operational possibilities of the software. “The use of this software will improve and operationalize the record process, as well asincrease the level of control of National Army weapons and ammunition movement”, said LTC Camerzan.

The Head of Ammunition and Weapons Service added that in order to obtain a high-quality implementation of the requirements for the software use, as well as for a better training on this chapter, the OSCE Secretariat donated 15 computers which will be distributed to specialized services of the National Army units.

Another workshop on the use of software for the automatic records of conventional ammunition and weapons will be held in October 2015.
