Exercise “Rapid Trident/Saber Guardian 2015” is OverCHISINAU, July 31, 2015 — The National Army contingent, together with servicemembers from Georgia and Great Britain, finished the missions of the active stage of the multinational exercise “Rapid Trident/Saber Guardian 2015”. The exercise was held at the International Peacekeeping Training Center “Iavorov” from Lviv, Ukraine, within July According to commander of the Moldovan contingent, Maj. Tudor Popa, during the exercise, the Moldovan officers and NCOs planned and organized peacekeeping missions. The servicemembers carried out missions at command and control posts, observation posts, cordon operations, research and patrol missions, first aid, as well as security operations and counterattack. The multinational exercise “Rapid Trident 2015” brought together about 1,860 servicemembers from 18 countries: Bulgaria, Canada, Georgia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Great Britain, Republic of Moldova, Norway, Poland, Spain, Estonia, Turkey, Sweden, Belgium, USA, and Ukraine. This year, the National Army deployed 38 servicemembers to the multinational exercise “Rapid Trident/Saber Guardian”. |
