EOD Engineers Conduct Tactical Exercises in Greblesti (video)

CHISINAU, October 9, 2015 — The National Army EOD engineers participated in a demonstrative tactical exercise comprising the crossing of a watercourse, held at the lake from Grablesti village, Straseni district, and at the Military training center of the EOD Battalion “Codru” from Negresti.

According to EOD Battalion Commander, LTC Andrian Efros, in line with the exercise scenario, the soldiers made a tactical road with the help of IMR-2M barrier removal vehicle and planted a minefield by mechanized method using GMZ-3 armored mine layer and PMZ-4P tracked mine layer.

The source specified that at the lake from Greblesti, the EOD engineers established a way to cross the water on the boat bridge and forced the water course. They have also transported the vehicles with the help of the PTS-2 medium amphibious tank carrier.

The tactical exercise is part of the combat readiness plan of the National Army and aims at evaluating the abilities and practical skills of conscripts and servicemembers.
