National Army Staff Trained on Corruption Prevention



CHISINAU, October 23, 2015 — Today, the General Inspection Directorate (GID) of the Ministry of Defense, in cooperation with the National Anticorruption Center (NAC), held a training on the corruption phenomenon and its prevention, at the Military Compound 142.

Informing the military and civil staff about the general principles of ethical conduct, the gifts system and how to declare them, testing the professional integrity, difference between inadequate influence and corruption acts and the liability and analysis of criminal corruption causes investigated by NAC were the main subjects discussed at the meeting.

The training on the corruption phenomenon and its prevention is conducted in all the military garrisons, within October 8-30, and brings together the staff of the Military Territorial Centers. The training is part of a project aiming to improve the knowledge of the National Army staff on how to fight and counter corruption, develop the intolerance towards corruption, promote the ethic and moral conduct in order to follow the legislation in the field, as well as to execute the art. 14 (3) of the Law on Preventing and Fighting Corruption No. 90 as of April 25, 2008.
