National Army Trains Military Observers for UN operationsCHISINAU, September 13, 2016 — A group of National Army service members is attending a UN Military Observers Course within September According to LTC Ion Cozma, Chief of the ongoing training center of the Military Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” (MAAF), the unit responsible for the organization of the course, 18 National Army officers will be trained during this period. The course consists of theoretical training and practical exercises. LTC Cozma specified that within the course, the soldiers study the UN mission strategic and military goals, legal aspects, elements of security, health, and safety, as well as public affairs. The practical stage will be conducted at Bulboaca Training Are and is based on a peacekeeping operation scenario, during which the officers will apply the knowledge gained in theoretical classes. The UN Military Observers Course has been taking place twice a year beginning with 2007. |
