US Military Schools Kick off Admission Process


CHISINAU, October 19, 2016 — The Republic of Moldova citizens are invited to apply for 2017 scholarships at “West Point” Military Academy and the Air Force Academy, two of the most prestigious US military institutions of higher education. Papers may be submitted to the Human Resource Management Directorate (HRMD) of the Ministry of Defense until November 4, 2016.

According to Maj. Roman Natrasevschi from HRMD, the admission is open to men and women aged between 17 and 23 years old unfulfilled by July 1, 2017, who are graduates of high school, technical college, or university.

The source added that it is mandatory for applicants to speak English fluently. Thus, the candidates will take the TOEFL exam and School Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT) exams.

The candidates must also test their physical readiness level. The testing will be conducted by the Ministry of Defense, together with the US Embassy in Chisinau, and will consist of basketball throw, pull-ups, shuttle run, crunches, push-ups, and mile run.

The length of studies in the American military institutions is four years, and the costs are entirely covered by the US Government.
