Recruit’s Day Organized in Chisinau

CHISINAU, October 20, 2016 — The Army Recruitment Center from Chisinau, together with the Mayoralty of Rascani district, conducted today the Recruit’s Day at the Memorial “Feciorilor Patriei — Sfanta Amintire” (To the Sons of the Motherland — Holy Memory).

At the event, Deputy Defense Minister, Gheorghe Galbura, appreciated the decision of the recruits from Chisinau to fulfill their constitutional obligation of defending the Motherland. “I am sure that those who know you are honored, proud, and appreciate your decision”, said Gheorghe Galbura.

The Deputy Defense Minister ensured the future soldiers that in the army they will face a period full of challenges that will teach them the military life and discipline, but also in the army they will find friends for life.

The Recruit’s Day included wrestling exercises, an exhibition of military vehicles, and a musical program.

According to Head of the Army Recruitment Center from Chisinau, Col. Alexandru Nica, during the fall-winter, 2016, 188 young men from Chisinau will join the Armed Forces. Out of these, 150 will join the National Army units, while 30 — the Carabineer Troops Department.
