Anti-Air Missile Regiment Celebrates 25th Anniversary
CHISINAU, May 13, 2017 — The military and civil staff of the Anti-Air Missile Regiment celebrated today the unit’s 25th anniversary. The event was attended by representatives of the Government, Ministry of Defense, National Army General Staff, former commanders of the unit, veterans, pupils, and citizens of Durlesti.
Deputy Defense Minister, Gheorghe Galbura, congratulated the unit’s staff on this occasion, and mentioned the contribution of all conscripts and service members who served in this unit throughout 25 years. “We owe to these officers, NCOs, sergeants, and soldiers the achievements obtained by the Anti-Air Missile Regiment within military activities, as well as the respect of the citizens of Durlesti”, said the Deputy Defense Minister.
Gheorghe Galbura thanked the conscripts and service members for the help in eliminating the consequences of the snowfall of April, 2017. “Your involvement proved that you are good not only at carrying out the regiment’s missions, but also at supporting your community, and the citizens of Durlesti can rely on you, in case of need”, specified the official.
The event included an exhibition of the unit’s vehicles and a musical program.
The Anti-Air Missile Regiment “Dimitrie Cantemir” was established in May, 1992.
