National Army Commander Pays a Visit to Lithuania

CHISINAU, June 7, 2017 — Chief of General Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie, is paying an official visit to Lithuania, at the invitation of his counterpart Lt. Gen. Jonas Vytaus Žukas, within June 7-9, 2017.

The visit’s goal is to discuss the new perspectives of developing the Moldovan-Lithuanian military cooperation and to exchange experience and opinions in the sector of regional security and defense.

During his stay, Brigadier Gen. Cutie will meet with the representatives of the commanding corps of the Lithuanian army and will visit the Military Academy of Lithuania, as well as military training centers and units.

The Moldovan-Lithuania defense cooperation started in November, 2000.
