National Army Peacekeepers March on Khreshchatyk Boulevard in Kiev
CHISINAU, August 24, 2017 — National Army service members marched today on Khreshchatyk Boulevard in Kiev, as part of the military parade organized on the Independence Day of Ukraine. The event was also attended by Deputy Defense Minister, Gheorghe Galbura.
The military formation consisting of 29 officers and NCOs from the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion was commanded by Maj. Ianac Deli, while the State Flag was borne by Sgt. Igor Cricicovschi.
This year, 4.500 Ukrainian service members and 231 service members from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Canada, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania, and the United States of America participated in the military parade in Kiev.
