National Army Celebrates the 26th Anniversary
CHISINAU, September 3, 2017 — The National Army celebrates today the 26th anniversary since its establishment. Thus, all the military garrisons organized festivities attended by service members, conscripts, civil employees, and veterans.
In Chisinau, the staff of the Ministry of Defense, General Staff, Military Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun”, the units stationed in the capital, as well as the military attaches accredited to our country laid flowers at Stefan cel Mare si Sfant monument, Maica Indurerata monument from Eternitate Complex, and Central Cemetery from Armeneasca street.
On this occasion, in Chisinau, there was organized a march of National Army military vehicles.
Festive activities were also conducted in Balti, Cahul, Ungheni, and Marculesti garrisons.
Also today, at Ethno-cultural Complex VATRA, within the Medieval Festival, the Presidential Orchestra, “Doina Armatei” folk band, Guard Battalion, Special Forces Battalion, Engineer Battalion, and Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” will present a spectacle dedicated to the National Army Day.
The National Army was founded on September 3, 1991, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova No. 194.
