Center of Communications and Informatics – 25 Years of Performance
CHISINAU, October 17, 2017 — The National Army Center of Communications and Informatics (CCI) celebrated today the 25th anniversary within a ceremony held at the Ministry of Defense HQ. The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and General Staff, veterans and service members.
Deputy Defense Minister Gheorghe Galbura congratulated the Center’s staff and specified that, during these 25 years, the unit’s specialists had an important contribution to modernizing the information technologies system of the National Army, ensuring the communication between service members and the upper echelon during national and international exercises.
Commander of CCI, LTC Igor Bucataru, stated that it is a priority for the unit’s specialists to know the latest developments of the IT sector. The source specified that the service members from the CCI ensure the communication between the defense institution and the contingents deployed in missions abroad, such as KFOR, as well as participate as military observers in UN operations.
On the occasion of CCI’s anniversary, a group of service members received medals and honor diplomas.
The Center of Communications and Informatics was established on October 16, 1992.
