Special Forces in Action at JCET-2017



CHISINAU, October 18, 2017 — The service members from the National Army Special Forces, Special Operations Forces of the Romanian Army and Special Forces of the US Army are participating in the exercise “JCET-2017” (Joint Combined Exchange Training) within October 1 — November 4, 2017. The training is conducted at the National Army Military training base from Bulboaca.

According to Commander of Special Forces Battalion, LTC Ion Ojog, the exercise aims to develop the capabilities for carrying out special missions, the joint training and to exchange experience between the Moldovan, Romanian, and American Special Forces’ service members.

The source mentioned that, within the exercise, the officers and NCOs of the three armies are conducting specific shooting drills during day and night time, tactical missions with combat shooting drills on special forces group level.

The service members are also carrying out static line parachute jumps using MC-6/T-11 parachute systems.

The exercise “Joint Combined Exchange Training” is part of the National Army training plan for 2017.
