Moldovan-Polish Dialogue at the Ministry of Defense



CHISINAU, December 14, 2017 — Minister of Defense Eugen Sturza had a meeting with the new Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Moldova, Bartlomiej Zdaniuk.

The officials reviewed the priority topics on the bilateral agenda, including the military cooperation and the opportunities for expanding it.

Minister Sturza appreciated the Polish Government’s contribution to the NATO/PfP Project on the disposal of dangerous pesticides and chemicals in the Republic of Moldova by evacuating and destroying 320 tons of chemical waste from Comrat and Falesti districts.

Eugen Sturza also thanked for the educational offers comprising training for National Army service members in military educational institutions from Poland.

Bartlomiej Zdaniuk stated that his country is available to strengthen the military cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Poland.

The Moldovan-Polish military cooperation started in 1998.
