NATO Experts in the Republic of MoldovaCHISINAU, January 24, 2018 — A group of experts from the NATO Defense Policy and Planning Division responsible for the implementation of the Defense Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI) in the Republic of Moldova are paying a working visit to Chisinau within January The visit’s objective is to asses the first phase of the DCBI that includes the development of defense policy documents and to identify the opportunities through which NATO can support the Republic of Moldova during the second phase of the initiative’s implementation. The talks will regard the cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and NATO in consolidating the defense sector in the framework of the DCBI. The experts will meet with General State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Radu Burduja, Prime Minister’s Chief Advisor on Security Policy, Mihai Godea, and representatives of the Parliamentary Committee for national security, defense and public order. The Republic of Moldova has been part of the DCBI since 2015 and receives assistance on the development of its defense capacity building.
