Military Diplomats Visit “Stefan cel Mare” BrigadeCHISINAU, March 16, 2018 — The defense attaches appointed to the Republic of Moldova paid today a fact-finding visit to “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade from Chisinau. During the visit, the 16 military diplomats from Romania, Ukraine, USA, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Germany, Lithuania, and the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova were informed about the Brigade’s structure, role, and missions, the training goals for this year, and the external activities in which the unit’s staff will participate. The attaches also familiarized themselves with the infrastructure of “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade and the unit’s military vehicles and weaponry. According to Col. Anatolie Zavtur, head of Strategic Planning Directorate of the General Staff, the visit was organized at the request of the military attaches corps and aimed to strengthen the military bilateral relations. In February, a similar visit was paid to the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion.
