The Honor Guard Marches in the Triumph Arch Square in BucharestCHISINAU, December 1, 2018 — The service members from the National Army Honor Guard Company marched today in the Triumph Arch Square from Bucharest within the parade organized on the occasion of the National Day of Romania. The event was also attended by National Army Commander, Brig. Gen. Igor Cutie. The 26 Moldovan officers and NCOs saluted alongside military from Albania, Bulgaria, Canada, Czechia, Croatia, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Romania, Slovakia, USA, Turkey, and Ukraine. The National Army military formation was commanded by Maj. Vasile Ojoga, while the State Flag was carried by Sgt. Victor Goblija. This year, the parade from Bucharest brought together almost 4,000 service members and specialists from the Romanian law enforcement structures with over 200 vehicles and about 50 aircrafts, including 500 service members from allied and partner countries. |
