Moldovan-Romanian Cooperation Plan Signed at Ministry of Defense



CHISINAU, January 29, 2019 — The cooperation plan between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of National Defense of Romania for 2019 has been signed today in Chisinau.

The document was signed by Chief of International Cooperation Directorate, Col. Mariana Grama, and her Romanian counterpart, Col. Adrian Bulea, provides for joint training actions for the Moldovan and Romanian soldiers, assistance from the Romanian Government for continuing the reformation and modernization process of our country’s defense sector, and aims to reinforce the bilateral defense relations.

While at Ministry of Defense, Col. Bulea talked with General State Secretary, Radu Burduja, about the current stage of the Moldovan-Romanian defense cooperation.

The officials agreed on intensifying the joint participation in bilateral and multinational exercises, increasing the number of scholarships for National Army officers and NCOs to military institutions from Romania, including the area of military medicine, as well as on offering Romania’s expertise in relevant sectors.
