Military surgeons provide free medical care in rural areas

CHISINAU, May 5, 2011 — A group of military surgeons provide May 4-5 free medical care to citizens of Marculesti.

Six military doctors from the Central Military Hospital (CMH) offer a variety of general and special health care services such as: general therapy, surgery, urology, neurology and dermatology.

The surgeons work with their patients at the medical office of Marculesti Airbase, using a modern diagnosis apparatus provided by CMH.

As for citizens who need additional investigations, the military surgeons make Phibrogastroscopic, Ultrasonographic and electrocardiogram tests. Servicemen and employees of the Marculesti Airbase are also cured for free by the military surgeons.

The doctors are to examine nearly 200 people in two days of work in Marculesti, including children and old people.

The mobile medical care services are provided within a joint project of the Ministry of Defense and the Central Military Hospital meant to ease the access to free and professional health care services in Republic of Moldova villages and cities.
