NATO-based Radio Communication Training Course



CHISINAU, May 24, 2011 — The Communication and Information Systems Directorate of the National Army Main Staff and NATO Joint Command from Brunssum, Netherlands, organize during May 24-26 a training course for radio operators. The event is host by the Peacekeeping Operations Training Center.

The head of the Communication and Information Systems Directorate, Col. Igor Zavalski, stated National Army servicemen would be informed about NATO-based radio communication procedures.

„This course is a professional training opportunity for the National Army radio operators. I would like to say that the radio communication procedures meeting international standards are very important both within the military and peacekeeping missions”, Igor Zavalski stated.

The National Army servicemen were trained by a team of NATO Joint Command experts. At the end of the course, 24 of participants will be awarded graduation diplomas certifying their knowledge and skills in NATO-based radio communication area. Most beneficiaries of this course are servicemen from the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion, the Center of Communications and Informatics, Communications Battalion, Anti-air Missile Unit, and students of Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy.

The training course for radio operators entitled „NATO-based Radio Communication Procedures” is part of the 2011 foreign policy plan of the Ministry of Defense and the National Army.
