Special Holiday for Children Organized by the Ministry of Defense

CHISINAU, June 1, 2011 — Over 170 children of National Army military and civilian employees had a trip on a ship on the Dniester River organized by the Ministry of Defense on the International Children’s Day.

According to Minister of Defense, Vitalie Marinuta, events for the employees’ children were held in all military units and institutions for „children are our best investment”. Vitalie Marinuta stated that, during their summer holiday, most children of the National Army employees will have the chance to go to the Ministry’s of Defense resting camp from Vadul lui Voda, as well as other resorts of the country.

Before embarkation, the Minister of Defense offered sweets and tonic drinks on behalf of the Ministry. Marinuta told them that, when they get back, they will have one more surprise — each of them will get an ice-cream.

During their trip, the children watched a show organized by the Central House of the Army. They also got sweets and took part in contests and played games. Those who celebrated their birthday on June 1 were offered gifts on behalf of the Ministry of Defense.
