212 Young Men Take Their Oath



CHISINAU, November 5, 2011 — 212 young conscripts took their oath today, November 5, within a special ceremony held at Moldova Brigade.

At the event, Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta pointed out the sacred character of the military oath for each man. “Our country needs brave citizens committed to their military oath. Each of these young men who took their oath today should be aware of the sacred connection they have with their country which they must defend no matter what. If needed, they must be the shield of independence and territorial integrity of the country, make its citizens leave in peace”, the Minister of Defense stated.

The Minister pointed out the servicemen to teach young soldiers while in the army are professionals. Most of them were highly appreciated within multinational exercises, as well as international operations. Each of them should be aware of the need to prove commitment in military training process, learn all the information given, including the major military issues. The head of the defense department expressed his hope that some of the above young men would build a military career in future.

Relatives, friends and representatives of the local public administration congratulated the young conscripts on the oath. Moldova Brigade servicemen showed some wrestling exercises and a show for the audience. At the end, the guests were familiarized with the conscripts’ living conditions and the military technical equipment of the brigade.
