Support, Acceptance, Love and Respect
CHISINAU, December 1, 2011 — Disabled children of military and civil employees of the National Army watched Thursday, December 1, the performance “Motanul incaltat” (Puss in Boots), presented by the actors of Licurici Theater from Chisinau.
The event was conducted by the Ministry of Defense on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities marked in December. The children were accompanied by their parents and by Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta, who offered them gifts and sweets on behalf of the Ministry of Defense.
The amateur artists performed with songs, dances and clowns for the disabled children. The show was held at the Central House of the Army. On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Minister of Defense provided financial aid to military and civil employees of the National Army raising children with special needs.
The Minister of Defense said that, by respecting disabled people’s rights, we show them our support, acceptance, love and respect.
“We carried out this show today to give disabled children the chance to discover the surrounding world and enjoy these nice moments along with their parents”, Vitalie Marinuta stated.
This year, the Ministry of Defense provided financial aid to 40 families raising children with special needs. The activity conducted by the Ministry of Defense is part of the Social Protection Action Program for the National Army staff.
