Military Education

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova, who opt for the military career, are invited to register for participation in the admission contest for studies in foreign educational institutions registered in 2017 as well:

Hellenic Republic (Greece) offers full scholarship at the Military Academy of Land Forces.


 

Republic of Turkey offers two scholarships at the Military Academy of Land Forces.


 

Information required for registration for both academies is:

— Name, surname of the candidate;

— Date of birth;

— Residence visa;

— Contacts (home / cell phone, e-mail);

— The institution they are studying, (degree).

The general conditions that candidates have to meet for admission are:

— Be between the ages of 17 and 23;

— Have good knowledge of English (writing, reading, speaking);

— To be fit physically for enrolment in military education institutions;

— Not to be prosecuted;

— Not be married or have any obligation to maintain one or more children.

The candidates’ file will contain the following documents:

— The certified copy of the birth certificate and its translation into English;

— The certified copy of the High School diploma and its translation into English;

— (Biometric) passport copy;

— Criminal record;

— Medical certificate on health status (in the territorial Military Centre where the candidate is in evidence).

The candidate’s file must be submitted:

— for Military Academy of Land Forces of Republic of Turkey by 26.05.2017;

— for Military Academy of Land Forces of Hellenic Republic by 16.06.2017.

Romania offers eight scholarships at:


 

a) Military Technical Academy offers specialties as “Signal”, “Construction and fortifications”, “Arms, artillery and fire control systems”, “Armoured cars and tractors”, “Computer and defence and security information systems”, “Aircraft and aviation engines”.

b) Air Force Academy “Henri Coanda” offers specialties as “Air Traffic Management” and “Management of missile and antiaircraft systems”.

The candidates’ file for both academies will contain the following documents:

— The certified copy of the birth certificate or its translation into Romanian (if applicable);

— The certified copy of the High School diploma or its translation into Romanian (if applicable); (Candidates graduating their studies in 2017 can register, based on the certificate with the grades from the first semester)

— Copy of the passport;

— Medical health certificate issued no more than two months before the date of enrolment;

— Criminal record.

The candidate’s file for both academies must be submitted by 02.06.2017.

c) Military National College “Stefan cel Mare” offers 2 scholarsips

The candidates’ file will contain the documents listed above, except " High School diploma“. Completed files will be submitted through military centers until 16.03.2017.

Five candidates submitted their applications:

— BĂLĂNEL Cristian;

— BRAGARENCO Cristian;

— IGNATIUC Adrian;

— SPOIALĂ Octavian;

— PAVLIUC Cătălin.

After national eliminatory tests (level of knowledge of the Romanian language, physical training and psychological evaluation), their files were completed and sent for examination to the College.

Subsequently, admission to the institution would be organized and conducted by the Romanian, in the period 25-26.05.2017, by supporting competition test (exam) at disciplines: “Romanian Language and Literature” and “Mathematics”.

US offer two scholarships at the Air Force Academy and the Military Academy “West Point” in 2017.


 

Information required for registration is:

— Name, surname of the candidate;

— Date of birth;

— Residence visa;

— Contacts (home / cell phone, e-mail);

— The institution they are studying, (degree).

The general conditions that candidates have to meet for admission are:

— Be between the ages of 17 and 23 not fulfilled on July 1, 2017;

— Have good knowledge of English (writing, reading, speaking);

— To be fit physically for enrolment in military education institutions;

— Not to be prosecuted;

— Not be married or have any obligation to maintain one or more children;

— Not to be part of organizations or political parties, non-political organizations prohibited by law, cults or religious sects whose beliefs are in contradiction with the regulations specific to military service.

On November 8 and 11, 2016, English language testing was conducted according to the ALCPT standard followed by interviewing candidates by the US Embassy in Moldova. Out of 32 registered candidates were selected eight candidates who have obtained the maximum score in tests for further competition for admission to study in these institutions:

— ŞMÎGALIOVA Anastasia — 110 points (TOEFL);

— HANGANU Mihai — 93 points (ALCPT);

— CROITORU Alexei — 93 points (ALCPT);

— CUPCIC Igor — 92 points (ALCPT);

— TOMA Vlad — 91 points (ALCPT);

— APOSTOL Cătălin — 87 points (ALCPT);

— GORCEAC Tudor — 86 points (ALCPT);

— COCIORVA Roman — 85 points (ALCPT).

After SAT/ACT, TOEFL and PT tests, the candidates’ files were filled in and sent to the academies for selection final candidates for each institution. On 25 April 2017, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova was informed about nomination of the final candidates:

— Military Academy “West Point” — Apostol Cătălin;

— Air Force Academy — Hanganu Mihai.

Germany offers full scholarship at the Helmut Schmidt University in “Engineering and Defence Systems”.


 

The program includes 2 ¼ years (7 semesters) bachelor’s studies, with the possibility of attending a master program (5 semesters). The expenses of the training are covered in full by the Ministry of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Moldova.

Information required for registration is:

— Name, surname of the candidate;

— Date of birth;

— Residence visa;

— Contacts (home / cell phone, e-mail);

— The institution they are studying, (degree).

The general conditions that candidates have to meet for admission are:

— Be between the ages of 18 and 23;

— Fluent speech of English according to STANAG 6001 standard, Level 3332;

— To be fit physically for enrolment in military education institutions;

— Not to be prosecuted;

— Not be married or have any obligation to maintain one or more children.

On February 23, 2017 was the deadline for applications. Thus, there was no candidate registered for the program.
