Land Force Command
The mission of the Land Force Command, as a key military command structure, is to organize, develop and prepare land force units for military land operations during peacetime, crisis situations and war.
The Land Force Command takes part in battles to defend the country, promotes Republic of Moldova interests about peace and regional stability, thus protecting security of the country during peacetime. The Command also supports Government institutions and local authorities in emergencies, prepares forces and related means for tasks set during military actions. The structure is also involved in planning and conducting military operations with all its own forces and means.
The Land Force Command includes: three combat units (Moldova Brigade, Stefan cel Mare Brigade, Dacia” Brigade and the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion) and combat supply units (Artillery Battalion, Communication Battalion, Guard Battalion, Engineer Battalion, Peace Support Operations Training Center and Independent Chemical Company).
