Servicemen To Get Salary Increase

CHISINAU, January 25, 2012 — Nearly 20 thousand employees of the national defense, state security and public order institutions will get a pay raise beginning with January 1, 2012.

The Government approved a decision Wednesday, January 25, stating that, starting with January 1, 2012, the basic salary for servicemen, troop staff and command corps, employees of the national defense, security and public order institutions, paid according to the unique tariff rate, will be established in compliance with the intersectoral indicator k=1,25.

This will cause a raise of salary by 19% for nearly 20 thousand employees of the national defense, state security and public order institutions. Therefore, 154 million MDL were allocated from the 2012 State Budget for making this measure real.

The above decision was developed in compliance with Law No. 355-XVI as of December 23, 2005, on the Wage Payment System for budget employees, as well as the 2012 — 2014 middle-term budget.
