American Logistics ExperienceChisinau, August 9, 2012 — Over 20 logistics officers of the National Army attend the Moldovan American workshop “Evaluation of Logistics Capabilities” held August According to Col. Veaceslav Balatel, Deputy Commander of the National Army Logistics Command, the event was organized in partnering with the US Army Logistics division of the European Command and aims at training logistics officers in compliance with the international standards. “This workshop focuses on some modern procedures applied in the acquisition process and the goods storage problem, military units fuel supply, weapons and ammunition storage in the National Army, organization of transportation and maintenance operations”, Balatel stated. Col. Balatel also said the Moldovan American workshop is part of a range of activities carried out by the Logistics Command meant to improve the logistics system of the National Army. While in the Republic of Moldova, the US logistics experts will visit the ammunition, fuel and food products warehouses of Balti garrison, as well as the transport units of the National Army.
