A “Home” for Future

CHISINAU, September 20, 2012 — Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta attended Wednesday the performance “Home” organized within the international pilot project “Home” carried out September 8-19 in the Republic of Moldova.

During the event held at Ginta Latina Theater from Chisinau, Minister Marinuta offered gifts and flowers to the children and dancers of the performance troupe, appreciating their effort and contribution to the development of modern dance and theater in the Republic of Moldova. “You are very talented, for you managed to combine dance, theater and the art of expression of ideas and thoughts on one single stage in order to persuade us that having a home is an important thing in our life”, the Defense Minister said.

In his message to the audience, Vitalie Marinuta pointed out the strong impact of “Home” project on the Moldovan public, hoping that the performance will be as highly appreciated in Belarus and Ukraine, where it will be promoted in 2013, as in Moldova.

According to Vitalie Ermicioi, President of the Association for the Development of Modern Dance in Moldova, the actors of “Home” performance are pupils of Boarding School No.3 from Chisinau and professional dancers from the Republic of Moldova, Belarus and Ukraine. “Children were trained by the Dutch choreographer for five weeks. Thus, they managed to form a good team performing accordingly, no matter the age, cultural and social differences”, Ermicioi stated.

The source specified the performance is a total of ideas and thoughts of children and adults about home and its value for each human life, as well as an attempt to understand the way a person lives along with the others by living his own life. “We put the focus on non-verbal speaking, sensibility and the way of perceiving the surrounding world, as well as the relationship with partners, dialogue and establishment of a suitable interactive environment”, Vitalie Ermiciou said.

The performance “Home” was presented in seven towns of the Republic of Moldova, including the left bank of the Dniester River, within a project with the same name.

The international pilot project “Home” is due to the cooperation of the Association for the Development of Modern Dance in Moldova and the Ministry of Defense with the Swedish Association LAVA-Dansproduction, along with a team of six professional dancers from the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Republic of Belarus.
