30 Grenades Liquidated by the Military EOD Engineers

CHISINAU, October 23, 2012 — The National Army EOD engineers liquidated 30 explosive devices discovered on a building site in Chisinau.

According to LTC Mihail Semionov, Chief of EOD Section of the National Army, the explosive devices were discovered by some constructors on a building site on Arborilor Street, Botanica sector, Chisinau. The team of EOD engineers of Stefan cel Mare Brigade went to the very place and identified 30 RG-33 hand grenades of Soviet origin.

All the explosive devices dating back to Second World War were transported to Bulboaca Militayr Training Ground and destroyed.

This year, the National Army EOD Engineers carried out 214 mine disposal missions and liquidated 2061 explosive devices in different parts of the country.
