Junior commanders trained in Cahul


Chişinău, November 19th, 2012 — 21 National Army military received certificates of completion the course for juniors commanders , in a ceremony held in “Dacia” Brigade dislocated in Cahul. The certificates were handed by the Deputy Chief of Main Staff for providing resources, colonel Andrei Şarban.

Colonel Şarban congratulated the graduates on the occasion of their academic achievement they proved during training, specifying that they represent the new generation of junior commanders, trained in accordance with modern standards, which will be the basis of National Army professionalization. “You are the personnel that the National Army future will depend on, so I urge you to use the knowledge and experience gained during your training in the military units, and be an example to comrades in arms,” mentioned Colonel Şarban.

As stated by the chief of the training course of junior commanders, captain Sergiu Savioglu, 21 military were trained for eight weeks according to a new program in which the focus was on applying the modern standards of training the master sergeants and increasing the role of junior commanders in managing the training process of the staff. “The military admitted to this course were rigorously selected by a special commission and priority was given to those proficient and in good physical condition” said Savioglu.

The source said that during the training each military admitted to the course has been appointed as commander and each day held a meeting with the squad, studying methods of organizing an observation point, research patrol, ambush, etc. platoon march . Furthermore, Moldavian military used as guidance the curriculum of the Latvian army.

Subsequently, 21 graduates of basic training course of junior commanders will be involved in training the conscripts from the military units of the National Army.

The training of National Army sergeants took place using the modules taken from the Latvian army. This was due to the three-year collaboration with Latvian specialists.
