Gratitude and Comradeship

Chisinau, March 13, 2013 — Acting Defense Minister Vitalie Marinuta awarded the Gratitude Insignia to Octavia Cirimpei, Doctor of Medicine, plastic surgeon, head of Republican Center of Thermal Injuries of the Traumatology and Orthopaedics Clinic.

The insignia was awarded for the specialized medical assistance provided to 2^nd Lt. Victor Prisacaru, platoon commander, 22^nd Peacekeeping Battalion, who has been seriously injured in an explosion in her house. “I would like to thank you on my behalf and on behalf of the military personnel for quick response, help and treatment. Due to your efforts, today our officer has recovered from the medical point of view”, Vitalie Marinuta said.

Victor Prisacaru and his wife Aurica have also participated at this meeting. Victor Prisacaru thanked the doctor for having rescued his life, as well as his army colleagues for quick response and support. “I’ve realized that comradeship gets stronger in hardships. I would like to thank the Ministry’s of Defense leadership for my urgent transportation to the hospital — military and civil doctors, as well as my unit comrades for donating blood and money, visiting me in the hospital and for providing all the necessary support to my family”, Victor Prisacaru said.

The National Army civil and military employees gathered about 47 thousand MDL and donated it to Prisacaru’s family.
